IDPs of Maiduguri, Nigeria

14 Aug 2017

Displacement continues as people still fleeing violence arrive in Maiduguri seeking refuge. At a screening point in an abandoned village on the outskirts of the city, newly arrived people can be stranded for weeks before being let into Maiduguri and transferred to internally displaced persons (IDP) camps. We're providing medical care and other assistance with teams on site conducting mobile clinics, distributing food, and working on improving the water and sanitation.
