Why were we There?

  • Healthcare exclusion

Our work

  • Since 2007, Médecins Sans Frontières has been providing medical and psychological care as well as social support to asylum seekers in Paris.
  • In 2013, a Médecins Sans Frontières team of nurses, doctors, psychologists and social workers continued to treat and support asylum seekers who had suffered repeated traumatic experiences both at home and in exile.
  • Médecins Sans Frontières, after assessing the limitations, decided to close its programme in France at the end of May 2013. The most pressing issues encountered by migrants in France are those linked to administrative and social problems, and these are currently beyond the remit of a medical humanitarian organisation.
