El Salvador

Violence between gangs and security forces has affected the population’s access to free and safe health services.

MSF is running several projects in El Salvador, including in San Salvador and Soyapango.

Invisible borders erected by the different gangs and constant clashes with security forces limit people’s mobility and prevent them to reach health centres or hospitals.

Teams work in basic healthcare and mental health in areas of the cities affected by high levels of violence.

Through community work, mental healthcare and mobile clinics, we aim to reach people most in need.
