Intersection Coordinator HIV self-testing
HIV self-testing (HIVST) is an empowering and innovative way to increase HIV testing among groups which are hard to reach with classical testing strategies and which comprise many people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) who are unaware of their status. MSF is setting up jointly coordinated, intersectional, multi-country initiative to boost HIVST approach in MSF over the coming four years (2017-2020) aiming at setting up HIVST interventions by at least three operational centres (OCs) in 8 to 15 countries. Projects will deliberately be set up in a variety of operational, security and HIV prevalence settings, address multiple target populations and use various delivery strategies. Individual project sites will work on a variety of research questions under a larger, common research framework, which will be defined by the MSF HIV/AIDS working group (HIV/AIDS WG).
The Coordinator will work under the responsibility of HIV/AIDS Working group (WG) and its HIVST committee (HIV/AIDS WG Leader, Medical Director and Operational Representative). S(H)e will report directly to the leader of the HIV working group and works closely with key staff in all five Operational Centres of MSF.
To be successful in this position you will be a Medical doctor or a nurse with postgraduate training in epidemiology or related subject, have at At least two years of professional experience in the HIV programme, excellent research and writing skills and French language skills.
