Community Engagement Coordinator

The Community Engagement Coordinator will triage and fulfil requests for speakers and ensure Médecins Sans Frontières Australia (MSFA) is represented in the community accurately and to a high-standard. 

The role is essential in representing the interests and priorities of MSFA. It plays a central coordination function within MSFA by streamlining requests and providing support to the following departments: Communications, Field Human Resources, Fundraising, Medical Unit, Advocacy, and the MSF Australia Association including the Board of Directors. The Community Engagement Coordinator will manage internal and external requests in accordance with each department’s strategic objectives in consultation or collaboration with nominated departmental representatives. 

This position will manage external community relationships and understand community interests and the opportunities these present. The position will seek to further develop and improve our community engagement approach by undertaking some specific strategic areas of proactive engagement in key areas of MSF interest.

Candidates must have minimum 2 years’ experience in community engagement (or similar), demonstrable experience in presentation design and delivery as well as proven experience in building and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
