The health of women within the contexts Médecins Sans Frontières operates has become an increasingly important part of our work over the years. On a daily basis, Médecins Sans Frontières teams in the field deal with a multitude of issues affecting women. Whether it be assisting women who have been victims of sexual violence, creating access to family planning and the improvement of obstetric care or helping women prevent the transmission of HIV to their unborn babies, Médecins Sans Frontières staff in the field are continually working to improve the treatment of women’s medical needs.
