Belen Caminoa

Belen, a paediatrician, first joined Médecins Sans Frontières in 2009 and she worked in diverse field projects addressing malnutrition and infectious disease in neonates and children under five. As a member of the emergency pool Belen also managed newborn and paediatric care in Médecins Sans Frontières hospitals in conflict settings including Central African Republic and Syria. She joined the Medical Unit in Sydney in September 2014 as Medical Advisor – Paediatrics, focusing on hospital care and critically ill paediatric patients. She supervises paediatric activities in countries including DRC, Yemen, Syria and Haiti, as well as specifically for emergencies.
