Lectures & Seminars

Professor John Hearn, University of Sydney Deputy Vice-Chancellor International, introduces the International Women's Day 2012 Forum on 8 March featuring our two medical advisors on women's health.

Médecins Sans Frontières participates in and organises a range of specialised lectures, conferences, workshops and seminars throughout the year. Some are open to the public and others only to affiliated audiences.

THE YEAR SO FAR

This year began with the International Women's Day 2012 Forum in Melbourne and in Sydney, featuring Médecins Sans Frontières Australia's two Medical Advisors on Women's Health presenting on maternal health and the role of emergency obstetrics to reduce maternal mortality.  You can find our latest report, videos and other material on maternal mortality here.

Then from late March through to early April we launched the latest Médecins Sans Frontières reflective publication, Humanitarian Negotiations Revealed: the MSF Experience. This book, written for academia, practitioners, policy-makers and students of humanitarian action and international affairs/relations, was presented by one of its editors, Fabrice Weissman, at events in Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne and Wellington. More information, including the link to a free download of the book, available here.

At any time, if you would like to request a Médecins Sans Frontières speaker to present at an event that you are organising, please complete our online form.
