Fundraising Officer

Permanant/Full-Time

 

This role within the fundraising team provides day-to-day support on projects to the Retention Coordinator, Acquisition Coordinator and the Direct Marketing Manager. This position is also the day-to-day contact for Community Driven Events and provides administrative support on a range of various projects.

 

To be successful in this role you will have the ability to successfully coordinate and complete nominated tasks, whilst maintaining brand integrity and strong relationships with project stakeholders.

Operational Communications & Media Manager

Permanent/Full-Time

This role is responsible for management of MSF Australia’s operational/medical communications and media strategy development and implementation, in addition to the management of a team whose specific responsibility is generating knowledge of medico-operational activities and the medical and humanitarian action of the MSF movement in the media, the general public, institutions and key target audiences in Australian and New Zealand society.

 

Through direct supervision and oversight of the operational communications strategy in conjunction with media relations activities in Australia and abroad, the role will improve visibility and understanding of the medical-humanitarian priorities that MSF Australia is engaged in direct support to operations, and the crisis situations in which MSF is involved in internationally. The operational communications portfolio also covers the communications objectives surrounding the specific medical issues of paediatrics and women’s health affecting MSF operations in the field. This includes the definition of key messages and developing an implementation plan and ensuring activities respond to communications and advocacy objectives of the operations and medical department.

 

To be successful in this role you will have prior significant experience in the communications department of a non-profit or public sector organization, experience managing or implementing communication strategies, a strong understanding of current humanitarian issues as well as experience working overseas.

Major Gifts Coordinator (Maternity Cover)

(full-time / fixed term for up to 13 months)

This role within the fundraising team provides high level support for and substantially contributes to Médecins Sans Frontières Australia’s revenue generation activities. This is done through assisting the Major Gifts Manager with developing, implementing and continually improving strategies targeted at securing major gifts through individual donors, trusts and foundations and other relevant areas as identified in the fundraising strategy.

 

To be successful in this role you will have prior exposure to major gifts fundraising, the ability to comfortably engage with individual donors regarding significant levels of support, experience managing budgets and events, experience working with data and donor databases and have excellent communication skills.
