Two Médecins Sans Frontières aid workers missing in Chad

Médecins Sans Frontières confirms that in the night of August 4 2009, one of the Médecins Sans Frontières compounds in Chad was robbed by armed assailants. After the robbery one international and one national staff member were reported missing. Currently we have no knowledge about their whereabouts. Médecins Sans Frontières is in contact with the families of the staff members involved and with relevant local, national and international authorities. Médecins Sans Frontières is doing everything in its power to ensure a safe return of our colleagues. In view of the circumstances Médecins Sans Frontières is not in a position to provide further information.
