THE BLUE HOUSE - "oasis of hope"
In September Australian photojournalist, Matthew Smeal, visited MSF's "Blue House" HIV/AIDS project in Mathare slum in Nairobi, Kenya. In his words Matthew raises the organisation's concern over the rise in tuberculosis infections in HIV positive patients, as an opportunistic infection and the barriers to treatment for co-infected patients. And in his images, Matthew captures the human face to MSF's life-prolonging work in this "oasis of hope" in one of Africa's largest slums. PRESS RELEASES
