For teachers

Médecins Sans Frontières Australia can support all teachers, but particularly those who are working with upper primary and secondary school students in the areas of Studies of Society and Environment and Geography.

We have developed several activities that are available from the activities section, and we are working on several more.

We also have a number of resources available from the resources section.

The information is particularly relevant to units of work on -

UPPER PRIMARY SCHOOL
Social Systems and Structures: Describes how Australian people, systems and communities are globally interconnected and recognise global responsibilities.

What Responsibilities do Australians have as Global Citizens?

· Reflection on global responsibilities

SECONDARY SCHOOL
· Human Geography: the relationship between people & the environment - global inequalities, global organisations & global geographical issues
· Natural Geography: natural diasters such as earthquakes, floods and tsunamis
