MSF statement about new Indian Patent Bill
Under a new Bill, approved on 23 March 2005, India has amended its 1970 Patent Act in order to be compliant with World Trade Organisation requirements. Medecins Sans Frontieres had expressed concerns during the parliamentary debates on the introduction of the Bill about the availability of affordable medicines in the future.
