Central African Republic: The Consequence of War

31 Aug 2017

The Central African Republic is back at war and, as a consequence, a serious humanitarian crisis is ongoing in the country. Bangassou, a town in the southeast of the country, is an example of this widespread conflict. Civilians are the first to suffer from the consequences of the fighting: direct consequences for those who were wounded or lost loved one; and the long lasting indirect consequences of war. For example civilians, targeted on the basis of their religion or ethnicity, are trapped without access to basic services such as health care.
